How to connect

Claude

  1. 1

    Open connectors

In Claude (web or desktop), go to ‘Connectors’ (under Settings or ‘Personalise’, depending on your version) and choose ‘Add a custom connector’.

  2. 2

    Paste the address

Name it ‘ForgeNEX’ and paste the MCP address.

  3. 3

Sign in to ForgeNEX and allow access

ForgeNEX opens: sign in, choose a workspace and whether the AI can change data or only read it, then select ‘Allow’.

Claude’s free plan supports one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise, an account administrator adds it. You can’t add it from mobile: use the web or desktop app.

ChatGPT

  1. 1

    Turn on developer mode

In ChatGPT on the web, go to Settings → Security and sign-in → ‘Developer mode’.

  2. 2

    Create the app

Create an app with the MCP address.

  3. 3

Sign in to ForgeNEX and allow access

ForgeNEX opens: sign in, choose a workspace and whether the AI can change data or only read it, then select ‘Allow’.

OpenAI decides what each plan can do: on some plans ChatGPT can only read, even if you grant write access.

n8n and other software

  1. 1

    Create a key

In your panel profile, open ‘ForgeNEX keys (MCP)’, choose a workspace and set what it can do in each product. The key is shown only once.

  2. 2

    Add an MCP server

In n8n (or any MCP client), enter the MCP address and add the ‘Authorization: Bearer’ header followed by your key.

The key acts with your permissions, like a person, and can be revoked where it was created.

Would you rather follow a step-by-step guide? It’s in the connection assistant, with the address ready to copy.

What your AI can and can’t do

  • It reads what you can see

It acts with your permissions in the workspace you choose: it can see everything you can, including personal data. Only connect it to an account that is allowed to see that data.

  • It creates or changes data only if you allow it

When you connect it, choose whether it can write or only read. For sensitive actions, such as changing a module, it gives you a ForgeNEX link so you can confirm.

  • It can’t delete or export

For now, a connected AI can only read, create and change data; it can’t delete or export it, even with your permission.

  • It’s your AI, not ours

Claude is made by Anthropic and ChatGPT by OpenAI. What you ask it and what it reads from ForgeNEX pass through that service and are subject to its terms.

Disconnect it whenever you like from your panel account under Security → ‘Connected AI’. Access ends immediately.

Try asking it

  • «Which opportunities are open, and which haven’t moved in more than two weeks?»
  • «Log a visit tomorrow at 10 with Rosa’s Florist and create a task to prepare the quote.»
  • «Which invoices are still unpaid?»
  • «Create a Works module with an address, client, budget and delivery date.»
