The Challenge: Consolidating Servers Without Sacrificing Performance

We designed a three-node Proxmox cluster, each with latest-generation processors, 128 GB of RAM, and NVMe storage in RAID configuration. The migration of virtual machines was performed live, without service interruption, thanks to Proxmox's live migration feature.

The implementation included:

  • High availability: if a node fails, virtual machines automatically restart on another node without manual intervention.
  • Automated backups: we configured incremental and full backups with custom retention, ensuring data protection.
  • Centralized management: the Proxmox web panel allows managing all virtual machines, containers, and resources from a single interface.
  • Enhanced security: we implemented perimeter firewalls and network segmentation for each virtual machine, reducing the attack surface.
